What to Craft in Diablo 4 U4GM Mythic Guide

Season 14 makes Mythic Uniques craftable in Diablo 4, giving endgame players new ways to chase stronger builds with the Horadric Cube and Jeweler.

Season 14 has shaken up Diablo 4 in a way that players will feel almost immediately, especially once they start looking at high-end gear like D4 items. Mythic Uniques are no longer locked behind that old rare-drop feeling; now they sit in a modifiable Item Quality system, which means more of your favorite Uniques can be pushed into endgame territory if you have the right materials and a bit of luck. That is a big deal, because it changes how people plan builds, hoard gear, and decide what to keep or scrap.

What Actually Changed

The biggest shift is simple: a Unique can now be turned into a Mythic Unique, instead of waiting for that perfect one-in-a-thousand drop. You will need a Unique with 850 or more Item Power, plus five Pandemonium Fragments, to use the Horadric Cube route. The new material comes from the Season Reputation board, Resplendent Caches, and the Seasonal Lair Boss, so players who stay active across different systems should have a better shot at getting there without sitting in one farming spot all night.

Two Crafting Routes, Two Different Costs

There are now two main ways to make a Mythic Unique, and they do not feel the same at all. The Cube method is cheaper in one sense, but it asks for a qualifying Unique and seasonal fragments. The Jeweler route is more demanding up front, since it wants 3 Resplendent Sparks and 18 specific Runes. That means one path is more about targeted upgrading, while the other leans on broader account progress and rune hunting. Also, crafted Mythic Uniques will always be Ancestral, with a 30% boost to their Unique Power, so even a familiar piece can hit harder than you might expect.

What Players Should Keep in Mind

Jeweler3 Resplendent Sparks and 18 specific RunesPlayers with strong seasonal progress

There are a couple of catches, and people will want to watch them closely. The new Mythic outcome does not guarantee the same affix as the base Unique you used, so you are not just pressing a perfect upgrade button. On top of that, only one crafted Mythic Unique can be equipped at a time, even though dropped Mythics can still be worn more freely. That alone will change how some players build around these items, especially if they were hoping to stack several crafted pieces at once.

When You Can Start Crafting

  • You can begin crafting after level 70.
  • You must be in Torment or higher.
  • Resplendent Sparks can come from the Season Journey, Torment bosses, Echo of Lilith, or salvaging older Mythics.
  • Not every craft will preserve the exact affix you wanted.

For a lot of players, this is going to feel less like a lottery and more like a grind you can actually plan around. That said, the old thrill of a dropped Mythic is still there, and it matters because dropped pieces do not carry the same one-crafted-item limit. If you are trying to stretch your gold, mats, and time, keep an eye on D4 items cheap before you commit to a build path, since Season 14 clearly rewards smart choices more than blind luck.
